Almost everything that makes our battery
powered Bendi the right choice for so
many applications applies equally to
the LP gas-powered Bendi IC. Both are
equally at home on the loading dock and
in the warehouse; can go from trailers
or plant floor to storage without staging;
and can navigate narrow aisles with
the speed and agility that allow Bendi
operators to move safely into tight spots
that others can’t reach. Their true 180°
steering and front-end articulation, plus
patented rear-wheel drive system offer
unequalled stability, traction, and control,
even in full turn positions.
The LP Gas-powered Bendi features
a GM 2.4L internal combustion
engine designed specifically for LP gas.
Refilling or removing and replacing the
rear-mounted LP tank is easy, fast, and
safe. The 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine
is easily accessible under the insulated
seat base. The engine is rated at 67
horsepower at 2400 rpm, and meets
or exceeds emission standards for its
vehicle class in all 50 states.
Despite its impressive power and
4000-lb (1,818kg). load capacity, the
Bendi IC Forklift measures just 48”
(1,200mm) wide. It can climb 15%
grades, turning in 9-ft (2.74M). intersect-
ing aisles, and stack 48” x 40”
(1,200 X 1,000mm) loads in 78” (1.98M)
aisles. Top travel speeds are 8-mph
(12.8kh), and lift speed is 90-fpm
(27mpm) empty, and 70-fpm (21mpm)
loaded. The Bendi IC model can be
equipped with triple or quad masts with
lift heights to 26’ (7.92M). Both have
lowered heights that allow the Bendi IC
Forklift to enter a wide range of transport
trailers.
For multi-shift operations, the LP Gas truck offers non-stop operation with
only the need to change LP Gas tanks between shifts. This truck eliminates
the need for costly battery charging systems and the related hazards.
The LP Gas Bendi is easily serviced
by opening side doors. All the major
maintenance items are accessible
including: oil and fuel filters,
distributor, spark plugs, and fuel
systems.
The LP Gas Bendi instrument cluster monitors all operational functions
including: battery charge, engine coolant temperature, hydraulic oil
temperature and oil pressure. An hour meter, low fuel indicator and filter
replacement indicator are also standard.
